After two years of preparations, we're excited to invite our friends to The EcoHouse@Fertile Ground - a new community meeting place, shared office and workspace. It's a small comfortable house with good energy, part of an urban oasis of sustainability in the heart of Olympia. ( Request Meeting or Event Space.)

If you are a non-profit, small business or individual who needs a flexible comfortable place to do your green thing… look no further!


Shared office-mates have use of a desk, shelf-space and your own filing cabinet, plus secure computer storage, and kitchen / bathroom privileges.  Full-time office renters also get limited free use of large meeting / workspaces.

  • Part-Time Office Share - $75 / month
  • Short-time Office Share - $40 / month
  • Meeting / Event space rental - $15 / hour
We're looking for people who
  • Who can share a flexible workspace with multiple partners,  welcome interactions with office mates, and respect each others' needs for focus and quiet
  • Whose work has a focus on urban sustainability & resilience, green building, social entrepreneur, etc.
  • Who will give back to the EcoHouse community by volunteering for the Commons, sharing community skills such as non-violent communication, and being of service.
  • Who would be interested in developing additional shared resources.

Indoor Event Space Rental is $15 / hour, plus $20 for optional use of kitchen.  Accommodates 25-35 people, reservations required at least 3 days before the event.  

We provide a conference table, seating for 10. Wi-fi, a projection screen, a bathroom and minimal free kitchen access.

The Bunk Room - 
Comfy beds at $25 per night.

We're excited about finally be able to provide a low-cost option for visitors of Fertile Ground Guesthouse. Bunks are only $25 but the space has all the same careful attention to detail that you've come to expect from Fertile Ground. With organic cotton sheets and firm new mattresses, you won't need to downgrade your expectations when you choose this clean and stylish space. This small room has three twin size beds and a bathroom nearby in the hallway. You'll have access to a kitchen, too.
